About Karmiq
Karmiq Lareef, known by many names is a prophet, fortune-teller and composer living in the intersection of multi-lingual hip-hop, funk and synth-pop, with a hint of spoken word, whose teachings are translated and performed via the personnel gathered for your sonic enjoyment.
Lareef's current whereabouts are unknown.
The Acolytes:
Patrick Hemington
Synth, drums, keys, vocals, noise, electric guitar, production/mixing
After awakening from a coma in 1987 Warringon, Patrick claimed to have a direct connection to the will of Karmiq, through a series of episodes and dreams he claimed to experience at irregular intervals. These innocuous illusions seemed disconnected at first, but began to appear related to one another through the messages and songs Patrick often awoke trying to recall.

Anamaria is an adult human female from Georgia, residing in London. She hates lanyards, astrology, silence and stillness and loves nothing (apart from Naruto). She was initially sent by The Anti-funk Mason Alliance to assassinate Karmiq with percussive polyphonic verses but the battle ended in a collaborative plot twist.

East London native Malarkey Ruse takes risks, scouted by Karmiq for their daredevil nature, their ear for quality control is second to none in the UK funkhop disco scene.

Hark! Mi swaco, a theorem adapted from denim jacket embroidery and disenchantment of existence. Elusive by nature and nocturnal by preference, The swaco man enjoys rollercoasters and long walks in the woods, with a distaste for humans and their superstitious tendencies. Often the off-tone song of swaco can be heard long before the grace of his physical presence, like the ‘E’s and ‘F’s to a great white.

Somewhere in the depths of East Ham, a combination of Irish whiskey and Scouse collided to form a rare new gem. Karmiq excavated this precious stone after hearing its voice echo through the ethereal realm. The sentient jewel in human form, transmits the sound of Karmiq through harmonious vibrations, occasionally adding pearls of wisdom. (Don’t stare for too long, as legend has it that the mind can get lost in this mineral’s beauty.)

Hackney born, Brighton raised, Chambre crossed paths with Karmiq at a high-stakes underground poker game. While the truth of this encounter is classified via NDA, those in the know refer to it as legendary.

Jax was a credited name within the online realms for their unique and rebellious style of play which got them to the top of the game. The infamous clan of Karmiq Lareef recruited their next Acolyte who provides endless energy and a drive that not even a Toyota Yaris can keep up with.

Ellen bumped into Karmiq at the greengrocers. They caught her trying to steal a sack of potatoes. They offered to buy the sack for her, which she skeptically accepted. Once outside, Karmiq held the potatoes hostage, offering to return one to her per song she featured on. She is still trying to earn them all back.
